Recap of Millennial Racing’s morning gallops and lunch at The Queens pub, featuring horse performances and a delicious chicken curry.
Thankfully, the weather held for our first Millennial Racing morning on the gallops, followed by lunch at The Queens pub in East Garston, just outside of Lambourn. Thirty members attended the day, some of whom had their first viewing of their stock. We had syndicate members traveling from various parts of the country!
Everyone arrived around 9:30 a.m., just as Nellie Leylax and Sir Geoff Morgan were heading out of the yard for their morning exercise. The group loaded into various cars and the back of Tom’s jeep and headed in convoy to the gallops. Both horses had a strong breeze up the long 6 furlongs, as they are due to run any minute now. Shortly after, John’s Dragon, our two-year-old filly, went up Kingsdown gallop for everyone to see. She is expected to be out towards the end of May, all being well.
Afterward, The Queens pub served a delicious chicken curry for everyone. Some attendees stayed the night to experience the local pubs of Lambourn and headed home the next day. Thank you, everyone, for coming and supporting! I’m sure this will become an annual event.
