Dark Angel is an emerging force as a Broodmare sire with the likes of Havana Grey and Content to account for. Gin and Slim, the dam, has a 100% strike rate with her runners and this colt looks set to carry that trend on. He’s got size, strength and looks ready to rock n roll. He comes with an entry in the Harry's Half Million Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes.
Bought at Goffs Premier Yearling Sale for £10,000. This yearling is from Lucky Vega’s first crop in the Northern Hemisphere, having already sired a stakes winner from his Southern Hemisphere crop. He won first time out at two and went on to win the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes. Monsun for so many years has produced high class horses as a Broodmare sire. Shawaaty, the dam, has had four winners from five runners that all ran to a decent level. This striking chestnut colt will go to Tom Dascombe who has trained two of the siblings to win.
Purchased at Tattersalls Ireland Yearling Sale for €32,000. Sands Of Mali won the Gimcrack at two and went on to win the Ascot Champions Day Sprint at three. He was very versatile when it came to ground. He has had a very good start to life at stud, producing a Royal Ascot winner and multiple other winners that have achieved a commendable rating. This athletic colt looks a proper two-year-old type that should continue the syndicates great success from this sale. He is IRE qualified.
